# **How to Install Math Department Printer (Linux)** _**Important:**_ if using wifi, connect to network **MSUnet 3.0** or **[eduroam](https://wifi.msu.edu)** Step-by-step instructions for Linux are not available because it can vary greatly depending on the distribution and the desktop system. The general steps are similar to the [Mac instructions](/PageSpace/pb/math.it/Printing_Mac_Setup); you need to install the drivers available via the SMB share //35.8.72.23/printer-drivers/linux, then add “Math-Print” using Line Print Daemon (LPD) protocol with the proper Kyocera TASKalfa 4052ci (KPDL) driver selection. When connecting to the SMB share, enter your username in the format “campusad\your-msunet- id” and your MSU password. _If your MSU NetID is different than your Linux username_, please email Math.ITHelp@msu.edu so an alias can be created. ### **Assistance** If you have any questions or need assistance, please email Math.ITHelp@msu.edu, or see Cindi Starr (C341 Wells Hall) or Jeremy Lounds (C339 Wells Hall).
